Fostering Program
One of the many ways to support NEAHS and to help shelter animals is to foster. With most shelters and rescues at, or over, capacity, our ability to take in animals who need us depends on our ability to find the animals, who are already in our care, homes-- temporary or permanent.
If you're not ready for a permanent, new member of your family but you're interested in hosting one temporarily, please fill out an application on the fostering page.
You can view all of our animals on the fostering or adoption page, and you can see the dating pawfiles of our animals on our Facebook page, Northeast Arkansas Humane Society.
If you have any questions about fostering please email office@neahs.org or call us at (870) 932-5185.
Tales for Tails
Tales for Tails is an NEAHS program that promotes literacy, community service, and animal well-being. Volunteers can schedule times to come to the shelter and read to the animals (cats or dogs) to practice their reading skills and to help socialize the animals. Calm and positive interactions with people other than staff will reduce the stress of animals in the shelter and prepare them better for their future adopters’ homes.

Donate Supplies
You can also help the animals by donating supplies to the shelter. Currently, we are in need of:
